For Christmas 2022, my family bought me a watercolor paint set for Christmas. I had experimented with alcohol markers and some very cheap watercolor throughout 2022, but really liked the look and feel watercolor added to my inks.
It didn’t take long for me to find a good rhythm between my inks and watercolor. It was a time of freedom and experimentation! I didn’t care if they weren’t gallery worthy, I was having fun. Within the first few weeks I decided that I wanted to pursue more and more watercolor.
In order to keep up my skills with ink, I decided to ink-wash my regular Inktober work. This would help me continue learning value and light and shadow. I’ve tried to continue this for the past few years.
